CHICAGO MASTERS SWIM CLUB

Chicago Masters is happy to offer a wide variety of swimming opportunities for all masters swimmers. We have lanes available for athletes at every training level, from staying in shape to Iron Man Triathlon qualifiers to swimmers who remain competitive. We have access to the 50 meter pool at the University of Illinois – Chicago (UIC) Physical Education Building (PEB), 901 W Roosevelt Rd, six days a week. We are coached by members of the UIC coaching staff. Practices are offered 5:30 – 7:30 am Monday – Friday, 11:00 - 12:30 Mon Tues Wed Fri, and also 6:00 – 8:00 am on Saturday.

We feel it is important to be clear regarding fee schedule, what is expected, and how we pay the bills. We have three training sessions per calendar year:

1. January 1 to April 30

2. May 1 to Labor Day

3. Labor Day to December 31

Each session will cost $225, which includes pool time and coaching. We also offer a rate of $75 per session for full-time students under age 25.

You can also register for an entire calendar year at a cost of $600.

In addition, you MUST be registered with United States Masters Swimming (USMS), information can be found on USMS website at www.usms.org.

NOTICE: YOU MUST REGISTER AS A UNITED STATES MASTERS SWIMMER!

The registration provides the necessary insurance that will allow you to swim at UIC and participate in USMS sanctioned events. When you register, select “Illinois Masters” as club name and then select “CMSC – Chicago Masters Swim Club” as the workout group.

The above fees cover our costs, but we also have various fundraisers throughout the year. This will primarily be done by hosting USMS meets, and assisting UIC during their home meets.

Since these activities allow our organization to exist, we need everyone’s help in making these events work. We are extremely excited about all we have to offer and with everyone’s cooperation; we will be able to continue to grow.
